Bush urges temporary bill to keep government running

Found: Washington Post Newspaper

People need to read this article just as a fun interlude to President Bush, I found it hilarious. As if President Bush doesn’t already have enough money to spend. In this article Bush is pushing a temporary bill to get funding for what he says is to, “Keep the government running and to continue important services.” When the government already deems the president billions of dollars for a spending limit; for example, he vetoed a bill deeming his spending limit to be $933 billion for the year of 2008 which seems a bit greedy. If the president wasn’t spending so much money on the war in Iraq there may have been more money for these other programs. Who is to say that once the money is given that it will just go to fighting the war in Iraq and the President forget about the other issues. The President needs to be more detailed about where the money is going if he expects Congress and the people to keep shoveling it out.
